No HDMI Sound in High Sierra 10.13.4 for Nvidia GT 730 Graphics card in Desktop computer

audio_cloverHDMI-120_v1.0d script worked for HDMI audio Sierra 10.12.4 & High Sierra 10.13 . The file SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEG0.aml if pasted in the patched folder of ACPI in EFI partition, there is HDMI sound. But the same file if pasted in patched folder of ACPI in High Sierra 10.13.4 there is no HDMI sound. Can NVidia Geforce GT 730 (2GB) can install HDMI audio in OSX High Sierra 10.13.4 by running the script "audio_cloverHDMI-130_v0.8" in terminal? The previous HDMI audio SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEG0.aml did not work for High sierra 10.13.4. It worked in High Sierra 10.13 only. The file for HDMI audio is enclosed herewith. This file is also received by running the above script.

f 10.13.4 AppleHDAController.kext changed, then how to modify it for Nvidia GT 730 GPU? Shall I modify it by the following ways.
  1. SDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEG0.aml in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED + FakePCIID.kext + FakePCIID_NVIDIA_HDAU.kext (does not affect other audio devices / methods)
  2. Lilu + AppleALC (supports various built-in audio devices not just HDMI audio) in Other folder inside Kexts folder

[SOLVED]Thunderbolt to DisplayPort HDMI AUDIO.

I discovered my mobo is capable running natively my monitor PHL BDM3270 2560x1440 by connecting thunderbolt to DisplayPort with cable mini-display to DisplayPort. My hack works perfectly, then I removed my RX 560 because I needn't them and there is no support for RX 560. Now,I would have HDMI AUDIO and I tried TOLEDA method but no success. I am wandering if it's possible to get HDMI AUDIO working with thunderbolt to DisplayPort connection? Thanks

I'm trying to sort out my HDMI Audio and the last time I used Lilu.kext and AppleALC previously, I needed the ALC892 directory inside /Clover/Kexts/Other in order to run audio_cloverALC-130_v0.5.command and audio_cloverHDMI-130_v0.8.command. Anyway, I just installed ALC892 using Multibeast HighSierra and I don't see the ALC892 folder anywhere in clover.

I already generated my SSDT and DSDT and placed them into /CLOVER/ACPI

also AppleALC and Lilu are both inside of /CLOVER/KEXTS/Other

HDMI / DisplayPort Audio through Adapters - 1070 Ti

I've been having some issues trying to get audio devices recognised via the graphics card. Things work fine in Windows.

On my 1070 Ti, there are 5 ports: 3x DisplayPort, 1x HDMI, 1x DVI. I have two HDMI cables going to my TV and Vive (VR headset) in another room.

Under Windows, the Vive will only work on the HDMI port, so I got a DP->HDMI adapter for the TV. Audio works fine.

However on Mac OS, there is no audio device shown for the TV through the adapter - only when the HDMI is connected...

Updated 10/16/2016 to reflect a small installation change to regain HDMI audio functionality in Sierra . This solution will work in Sierra as well as several previous versions of MacOS. Keep in mind that I didn't create the tools I only figured out how to use them. Credit for the kext goes to andrejkw at macrumors. Your mileage may vary but this is the easiest solution I've found. It has worked for many others. Definitely worth a try.

How do I uninstall Voodoo?

Voodoo is outputting an audio with a crackling noise somewhat often, and thus I want to uninstall it in order to install native HDMI audio instead. Tried deleting the kexts listed here but the audio is still working ;-;.

What should I do? Maybe the problem is on the Kernel Cache?

Hi, Everyone i succes to install the audio on my machine With an intel i5 8400 and a Gigabyte B360M-DS3H, i successful installed the audio With AppleHDA.kext but without HDMI sound

I tried voodoohda.kext with same result...

i think it's a port mapping problem, but i tried a lot of things without luck!!

I try too the Audio_CloverHDMI-130_v0.8.command but says that "device ID 0x923e0000is not supported

Any ideas??

Update went fine, except...

HDMI audio, after the 10.13.5 update, is dead. I am testing an XFX Radeon Vega 64, just so you know, and it and HDMI audio was working just fine with 10.13.3 and even 10.13.4. I've tried a new AppleALC, tried to build a new SSDT-HDMI.aml, tried reverting to the previous AppleHDA, tried a bunch of things, and it's a no-go.

Booting back into 10.13.4 and the HDMI audio on the Vega works.....

Hello,

I have a Nvidia 1060 Pascal card installed on the MacOS 10.13.5 rig. Neither the HDMI or the DP audio is working. I have tried several methods from this forum, the only one with worked was the VodooHDA 2.9.1 with gives full HDMI audio with the only exception that I cannot select the volume through the keyboard volume control (I can go into the app and change the volume).

What can I do to get full audio working?

I've lost the audio after upgrading the macOS, what's wrong? I have read the HDMI Audio thread for like 1 hour, but I can't figure out what I have to do for my hack to have sound again. I have even tried the #2 method (Clover kext patch) but no go :(
