I'm still trying to learn and get everything working on my first time hackintosh.
I'm running Catalina 10.15.4 on an Alienware Alpha R1.
The graphics card is a Dell GeForce GTX 860M

I did this with UniBeast and then MultiBeast.
When setting up the audio driver I selected VoodooHDA v2.9.1 since my audio driver is intel HDA.

This desktop only has SPDF port for audio but I'm trying to get the HDMI to output audio. it detects HDMI on the Mac but no audio controls...

So, I've done a almost succesfull installation of a High Sierra on my notebook, beside the audio that does not working no matter what I do. I already tried to use Apple ALC, Voodoo, but nothing still. Here's my config list.

this is my low cost build:
CPU: Intel Core i3-7100 3.9GHz 3MB
MB: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H
Internal GPU: Intel HD Graphics 630 7 MB
NO dedicated GPU

i instal macOS Catalina 10.15.4 and everything work (maybe).
But I connect a samsung monitor (I use HDMI-HDMi cable) and the computer doesn't see the HDMI monitor, so I can't use HDMI audio...

Hi, after install Catalina Vanilla, I have a problem with the Audio HDMI, I’ve try any kexts but HDMI doesn’t appears in the sound section, help me please I’m noob.
second problem is the graphic accelerator, I don’t know how ability that function. Help me please

Hey,

I am trying to get audio working on my Hackintosh VM.

I am currently using the Gigabyte RX 570 4GB, and everything else is working fun except the audio.

So far:
i have installed Lilu/WhatEverGreen/AppleHda/AppleALC into /Library/Extensions

No HDMI audio on my monitor

I need some help. I am using a Samsung U28E590 monitor on my build running 10.14.6 but am not getting any audio out of it. I am attaching a screen shot of my Sound preferences.

It's so damn annoying that the audio output is switched to DisplayPort every time I turn my monitor on, despite it not having any speakers. Audio stops working until I switch back to "internal speakers".

How can I disable DisplayPort Audio? AppleHDAEngineOutputDP, inside AppleHDA, is the bad guy that needs to be disabled somehow.

Good evening everyone.
I have a super problem with my hackintosh, the HDMI audio is not working, but the image and integrated audio is. I am currently using Layout-id = 3. But I have tested all the others available and HDMI audio does not work.
Activation methode: AppleALC + Lilu + Codec Commander kexts + Layout-id / Inject Kexts = Detect.

Specs:
Acer VX5 591g-54pg
i5 7300HQ
Intel HD Graphics 630
Realtek ALC255 - CM238 HD Audio Controller

Hi, Everyone i succes to install the audio on my machine With an intel i5 8400 and a Gigabyte B360M-DS3H, i successful installed the audio With AppleHDA.kext but without HDMI sound

I tried voodoohda.kext with same result...

i think it's a port mapping problem, but i tried a lot of things without luck!!

I try too the Audio_CloverHDMI-130_v0.8.command but says that "device ID 0x923e0000is not supported

Any ideas??

I have extracted my DSDT. 0 errors, 0 patches.

iv tried many guides but no good.
I have everything I can think of working.
but not HDMI Audio.

Hello, hdmi audio works only after sleep/wake, my monitor recognised correctly in audio preferences but no audio comes out from my headphones until sleep and wake my system.

Methods used for sound: AppleALC.kext


GPU: Nvidia 750Ti
MoBo: X79-P3
OS: Sierra 10.12.6
OnBoard SoundCard: ALC892

Hello everyone. After many attempts I managed to install High Sierra (AMDHS installer) on my AMD PC (fx 770k processor, GPU AMD R7 240 4 GB) I managed to fix the video but not the audio. Every time I enter the audio settings the PC is blocked. It does not give me any HDMI output option. I do not have much experience so I would ask for as much information and patience as possible. Thanks in advance

Hello , I would like to solve the HDMI audio output. My audio Realteck ALC898 is functional with appleALC id 98. But no charge codec for HDMI or Dp audio.
My Connectors are normally well patched, no audio-related modif in the DSDT.
However I manage to get the audio on HDMI or DP when I boot with a Config.plist by usurping the Kabylake by a skylake with the argument Lillu cpu =8 and an ID platform for an HD530. In this case I have the audio is well detected realteck & intel HDMI and...

Updated 07/3/2018. This solution works in High Sierra 10.13.6 as well as several previous versions of MacOS. I didn't create the tools I only figured out how to use them. Credit for the kext goes to andrejkw at macrumors. Your mileage may vary but this is the easiest solution I've found. I've used it for years & its worked for many others. Definitely worth a try.

Hey,

I have the following setup with a Vanilla Catalina install (Clover EFI):

Gigabyte B360M AORUS Gaming 3
I5-9600kf
RX5500 XT
Broadcom bcm94331 (via PCI-e adapter)

Catalina detects both my Onboard Realtek Sound Card and the HDMI output adapter (it even lists my monitor as one of the audio outputs):

However, no audio output is really played via HDMI. Just for information, on the same machine, everything works fine...

I have HP AU620TX Laptop, till now everything is working, but the audio is not working. I have two config.plist when I use the first one(config.plist) the Intel Graphics 620 Works, but the audio doesn't, and when I use the second (config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist) the Audio Works but not the Intel Graphics 620

I'm also not able to find the Audio Codec of my laptop, I'm aware of CodecCommander, but I'm unsure how to create the codec dump file
